Linking PAN with Aadhaar is mandatory under the Income Tax Act. If your PAN is not linked, it becomes inoperative, restricting financial transactions and tax compliance. However, you can still activate it by completing the PAN-Aadhaar linking process by paying a PAN-Aadhaar link penalty.
